Valentine's Day Cake Pops

These cake pops were so much fun to make! I got to bring out all of my favorite pinks, glitters and sparkles. I used all kinds of sprinkles and a new edible food paint! I made circular and heart shaped cake pops. I have had an ice cube tray that makes ice cubes in the shapes of hearts for a long time and finally put it to good use for this project! They are white cake flavor with red buttercream frosting mixed in.

I made them for my friend's charity benefit event that she was throwing. It was a silent auction and there was a category for baked goods. I wanted these to be beautiful and really inspire people to want to spend money on digging on these. I love having projects where I get to have small details like you see on these cake pops. I used meeting chocolate to decorate and a variety of different sprinkles.

A few days later my sister asked me to make three cake pop boxes for my nephew's teachers foe their in-school Valentine's Day celebration, so I got to do a second round. :)
